We welcome breeders of every type of dog who value healthy, functional structure, but can do without conformation titles. We value resilient social temperaments, but don't need champion athletes. Our breeders make a commitment to preserving genetic diversity in their programs, to meticulous husbandry practices, and to unwavering  honesty and transparency.  If that sounds like you, welcome home. We cant wait to get to know you better.

Breeders of any type if dog are eligible to join. Be sure to review the the code of ethics and husbandry standards here before applying. We welcome breeders of pure bred dogs who are open to considering cooperating with quality mixed breeders.

As a CDP breeder you will not be required to register dogs or litters in the CDR but we expect that your overall goals will be consistent with our mission and the Functional Dog Collaboratives definition of functional. Note that registration of adult dogs in the Companion Dog Registry requires complete health testing and registration of litters requires a predicted genetic COI of 10% or less.

Breed clubs, Co-ops,  or individual breeders may apply. Membership is $99 annually but you will receive a coupon code when approved for the first year free. Your membership Includes:

1.. Listing in our breeder directory. This is a great way to showcase your program and connect with people. (optional) 

2. Opportunities for group discounts on health testing. We are part of the Embark breed club program and members can buy Embark breeder kits at a discount. 

3. Only approved members are eligible to register dogs with CDR.  Registered dogs can be featured publicly or privately on the website in our directory. 

4. Weekly Zoom meet ups with a CDP mentor and other breeders for educational topics and support.
